Meet Stefan Fischer - Accredited 4WD Trainer & Remote Explorer.
Hi, I'm Stephan Fischer — German-Australian, accredited 4WD driver trainer and assessor, and remote travel specialist. I immigrated to Australia in 1997 after travelling through more than 50 countries, and I've spent the last 25+ years covering approximately 500,000 km across this country, with a deep focus on the arid interior.
I've completed more than 20 major desert expeditions — including unsupported crossings through the Simpson, Gibson, and Tanami Deserts. I hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a full suite of 4WD-specific qualifications. I've also served as Vice President of Responsible Technical 4WD Club NSW and am a member of the Australian 4WD Association.
For over a decade I've run the ALLOFFROAD YouTube channel, producing desert travel guides, sand-driving tutorials, and 4WD training content that has reached millions of viewers. I currently spend around 100 days per year in the field, and I travel regularly with my two kids — so I know exactly what it takes to plan a serious remote trip for families as well.
